Seattle-area Walt Huntsman (vocals, percussion, harmonica) and his deep-South wife Teresa (acoustic guitar, backing vocals) serve up an acoustic stew of folk-pop, seasoned with a dollop of blues and a dash of country. Their original songs are crafted from everyday events, stories inspired by the past, and observations about life and love. If it crosses Walt’s mind, there’s a good chance it will end up coming out of Teresa’s guitar. Seattle Goes South also plays tunes from artists who inspire them, including James Taylor, Tom Petty, Bob Seger, John Prine, Elvis Costello, John Mellencamp, and many others.
